Lawyers, Guns & Money—Firearm Liability in the Home & Workplace

What are the parameters of gun liability in the home as a personal lines exposure and in the workplace as a commercial vulnerability? I’ll be exploring the Homeowners and General Liability forms’ response to firearm usage as a means of self-defense, property, and life protection, as well as from an “Active Shooter” in a business, public at-large, or at a school. The session will also breakdown a risk management assessment of the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida—the deadliest mass shooting at a school in U.S. history.
